1. Square up all fabrics after pre-washing & ironing.
2. Use a common way of marking your fabric so that you do know that it has been pre-washed.  Use pinking shears or clip corners.
3. For 'planned' future scrap quilts, cut 2", 3" or 5" strips from all fabrics and put away for future use.
4. Start new piecing projects with a number of bobbins wound for replacement.    Helps a lot when on a roll.
5. Always use sharp new rotary blade when cutting projects.  Use a sharpie pen to note the date on the blade when loaded into the rotary cutter
